Hot Like Fiyah

Made my becoming-famous Tom Yum Hot and Sour soup last night. I jacked it up a bit too much, and it became more Hot than Sour. I actually ended up using the soup package this time, not knowing that it had some chili paste included. So while I was adding my lemongrass, herbs, and Three hot chilis, I put in my regular 3 types of mushrooms, scrimps, lime, green onions, and other goodies. When it came time to taste, I thought it was a bit spicy hot, but thought it might boil down a bit later on. Wrong. It only intensified the flavor and heat. Put it this way, you did not want to be under those covers with me last night.
That reminds me, most people have taken down their Xmas trees by now. We did not put up a tree, but instead we have Xmas cards on top of the TV stand. It's bloody Jan 29th and ask me if those are still there? Most excellent.
George Dubyah gave his very last State of the Union Address last night. I'm not posting the link to that because it's just waste of webspace. I will however put up this:You may already know how I feel about this guy, but at least he's telling the truth! Wow. Just listening to him, he's pulling back no punches on the Bush administration. My only qualm about it is that his people could have made it look a bit less like he's reading the teleprompter and more speaking passionate like he normally does on the podium. Obama in 08 said this young chinaman back in the summer of 06. Senator Kennedy endorsed Obama today also, just thought I would point that out. Thanks.
Sports time: Dave Dickenson is expected to sign with the Argos. I hope for the sake of Argo fans that it's not a guaranteed contract! I say Five bucks that Dickenson doesn't play 7 games for the Argos next year. Do the Argos ever learn? Why won't they pick up a QB who'll actually grow with the franchise? Then again, it's the CFL. The Lui Pasaglia's are far far gone away. Shout out to my dude Jarious Jackson, JJ7! This will free up some room for some playing time, hope the negotiations go well JJ7!
CWebb is back with the Warriors. Everything old is new again. Those who still have your Champion Jersey from back in the day can finally dust that MoFo off and wear it with pride!! Teams I would not want to face in the Playoffs this year, Hornets, Warriors, Bobcats. Dangerous in a Seven Game series, I tell ya.
Johan Santana just got traded to the Mets and they signed him to an extension. Brave move by the Mets organization. How can you not be a Mets fan, besides the 13 game losing streak to end the year last season! Anything that will give the big bad Yankees a run for their money, now you can actually cheer on the OTHER NY Baseball team. Not like picking between the Rangers and the Islanders. As much as I hate to love the Yankees, I would still rather see Steinbrenner boiling in his box than sipping champagne.

Wow. I could watch this about a hundred times a day. As much as many do say that I can pull of the suit look very good, how damn uncomfortable it was for a jeans and sneakers guy to have to suit it up every weekday. Ouch. Lesson learned, and learned well. Time to move on. Thursday is Destiny Day.

T-Minus 3 days to Durham! Duke plays NC State on Thurs just to practice up for the weekend. Should be a pretty good thrashing (Sorry Rachel!) but State is just not that good this year. And really now, Sidney Lowe has to get rid of that Tomato Red blazer. Not only the "big period" comparisons, but Red suits just don't look that flattering on Nat'l Television. To each their own... If I get a call from Visa on Saturday, I'll be HERE, and with a very large basket/shopping cart.

OMA: What I could do with two pairs of these. Size 8's as usual please. WOW! Shoe fiends look at this! Only one pair needed...WHOA. Just try to find a matching Poncho to go with these! Whoa!
