Northwest and Delta Airlines have agreed to a merger. This is without the agreement support from the Pilots' Association. Not that you'll see Delta and NW Pilots slugging it out on the tarmac, or on the jetway, but let's hope that they just stop the FUI! (Flying Under the Influence!)
Speaking of airline misery, the third straight day of cancelled flights as Heathrow tries to open Terminal 5. I guess you really CAN see what happens when things go wrong for your Grand Opening! They are trying to blame things on the new state of the art Baggage Handling System, but c'mon now, how often have you gone as far as the UK only to have your luggage end up in Mexico?? A 61 yr old guy finds $10,000 in his mailbox. I keep checking mine, but all I have so far is McDonald's coupons, Canadian Tire Flyers, and Pizza delivery coupons. Not quite the same excitement as you can imagine.
