A sure shot sign that the skate market has gone mainstream. Is it just my critical eye, or do all skateshops really just look the same? Decks on the left, shoes on the right, tees hung or folded miscellaneously throughout. I know that all retail will ultimately have similar elements to it, but Wow, I thought I was looking at the same store nine times there!! I don't care what anyone tells me, this is still my most favoritest hottest unique spot currently.
The Washington Nationals kicked off the MLB Season in America last night. I must say, Johnny Miller and Joe Buck look extremely Botox-ish. Tons of changes in the off-season for baseball, if you need the Coles-notes version to catch up, read here. I will say though that watching last night, the new Nationals Park is pretty state of the art, and it only took 22 months to put up. In the end, baseball had to endure scandal, strikes, walkouts, lockouts, but can they overcome the Steroid scandal??
