Nothing's Ever Promised Tomorrow Today

The Celtics took their A-game to the Pistons, winning game five to take a 3-2 lead. Line of the day: Kendrick Perkins 18 points, 16 boards, 2 blocks, 2 steals. Can you say Big Three, What?? I worried during the regular season that KG and Pierce's production numbers and overall stats were down from last year, but the supporting crew is stepping up nicely.
Looks to me like Kobe Bryant has found his perfect life partner and twin head-case in Vanessa.
The Pens not only registered their first goal of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, but their Captain Sid the Kid finally showed up and scored two to lead the Pens to a game three victory. The Penguins are now down 2-1, and have made it a series to watch for now.
My friends at Polo Ralph Lauren had a great Q4, jumping 42% on the wings of the growth at JC Penney. Well done, horse riders!!
PVH announces that it will exit the Geoffrey Beene Retail Store business. I hope they don't axe the brand itself!! At least they are converting them to CK outlet stores, that should add more value to the CK brand.
A truck chase in Vancouver sounds much like something straight out of the Fugitive. I guess they couldn't use a taser on him because of all the bad press out there on Tasers, so they just ran him over with an unmarked SUV!!
In a desperate move to boost pre-prime time ratings, the CBC picks up Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy for this fall lineup. I'm not mad over the "picking American shows over Canadian shows" thing, but is Wheel of Fortune going to boost anything in these days?? And where the hell is the Canadian version of Amazing Race??
Check out this short movie for "Shoes For Breakfast". I like the, "Lick the Tick", and "Hey, Lace Face!" From here on out, I am going to refer to the Swoosh as "The Tick"!!
This is a great story out of Tokyo Airport, a customs officer hid some cannabis in a random suitcase to see if the sniffer dogs could find it!! The dogs failed, and the officer forgot which bad he hid it in!! Priceless!! There are some happy Japanese travellers out there right now!
Another feel-good story out of Red Deer, Alberta: Prairie Sticks Canadian Made custom bats are going to be the next best thing to steroids at this point in baseball.
Shout out to my boy Marcus Troy!! Known as "the kid", this dude embodies the phrase "On the Come Up". Already beyond Three Feet High and Rising, he has risen to heights only few get the chance to live! Keep on keepin on Kid! Check his new blog on the links list to the right.
RIP to Xavier Kingston Joiner, Xzibit's newborn premature son who was borned on May 15th and died on Monday the 26th. Keep ya head up X, tomorrow's never promised today!
The BEST Endorsement I've seen for the Wii Fit yet!

Objexts of My Affliction: The Jordan brand has had their share of retro mashups, but this one is questionable: The Jordan Six Rings, loving the XI influence, but hating the midsole and outsole. This one's a toss-up for me. The Jordan Olympian on the other hand, is WELL Executed. My closet is full as it is dammit, time to get a bigger vault!! This goes out to Cousin Rich, Another Air Stab but this time, It's PREMIUM!! Runnin' Gunnin', crackle leather, heck, I'D even sport these ones!! Lusting: Grace Park on the cover of the next Complex!!
