The Washington Nationals kicked off the MLB Season in America last night. I must say, Johnny Miller and Joe Buck look extremely Botox-ish. Tons of changes in the off-season for baseball, if you need the Coles-notes version to catch up, read here. I will say though that watching last night, the new Nationals Park is pretty state of the art, and it only took 22 months to put up. In the end, baseball had to endure scandal, strikes, walkouts, lockouts, but can they overcome the Steroid scandal??

So Earth Hour came and went and really, not much changed. Welcome to our generation. This really isn't for us, it's for the next and next generations!! I'm going to put solar energy panels on my Honda Civic today.

The Presidio is a very scenic place and it should be able to house art collections as well. Being that I'm going to live in SF one day, I say "let them build!" The Contemporary Art Museum can only bring more to the community. Long live the Bay Area Yay.

525,600 Minutes

Caught the last performance of Rent tonight in Toronto. Was actually pleasantly surprised at the adaptation. They put the band right up on the stage instead of hiding in the orchestra. The actor for Mimi was Fabulous. All in all, job well done, and was pleasantly entertained.
I am in mourning now for my dear beloved Bluedevils. Although I've gotten many taunts and many rants and raves, not one single person can show me loyalty to a team beyond your's truly. My take on this year's tourny run, DeMarcus Nelson was just not the senior leader that he should have been. Singler, Smith, King were all not expecting the tournament to be this tough. Zoubek is just not ready mentally and physically to be a mediocre big man even for the tournament. Henderson needs off season wrist surgery. Paulus and Scheyer will lead the team next year, but succumbed to Nelson as the lone Senior this year. The boys were all gassed, just exhausted by the time they hit March. Confidence went through the crapper when they lost in the ACC Tournament to Clemson. In the end, I will look to next year, and when they do win, all y'all haters can bow down.
Congrats to Lofa Tatupu for signing with the Seahawks until the end of 2015. Add that to re-signees Marcus Trufant, and Sean Locklear, with newly signed Julius Jones, TJ Duckett, Jeb Putzier, and Mike Wahle, we might have one pretty good season out of the NFC West this year. I still don't like losing Marcus Pollard, or DJ Hackett, but we'll see what else the off-season moves bring to the table.

The Dukies escape Round one of March Madness by the skin of their teeth and their hides on their backs. The boys look totally gassed, exhausted from the whole season. The rookies are finished, and Scheyer and Paulus are wiped. Henderson needs off season wrist surgery, and DeMarcus is just not the leader of a Senior that he really should be. I will continue to jump on my couch and cuss at the TV like a drunken sailor.
Canadians are invading the US real estate market. Higher Dollar, and slumping housing prices may mean good things for Canadians with enough to settle south of the border. I know a certain place in Palm Beach I could settle into.
I never even REALIZED that the Disney sold some of its Disney Stores to Children's Place back in the day. Weird. I'm guessing that it would be a smart move to buy them back, and soon!!

Homeward Bound

Took a drive through Jupiter Island. If you've never seen a $25 Million dollar house in your lifetime, take the one you live in now, and multiply it by about 62.5! Flew home PBI-Charlotte in seat 2A, and Charlotte to YYZ in seat 3A, and in about an hour of waiting, got my "priority" luggage from the good folks at Pearson. The Customs officer was surprised to see me calm and tired, but really I had to pee like a racehorse! Good to be home, hate the cold with a passion now. *SIGH*

Another tough day in Palm Beach, went to visit a Motorsports Park, had lunch at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, soaked in the pool, and went for Sushi dinner at Ra's. I think I'm addicted to life in the sun and the land of the rich and silly.

Had a tough day in Palm Beach today. Played a morning round of golf, just a foursome ahead of Karrie Webb. Lost about a case of balls, but still worth it. Sat in/by the pool and turned my red back into a dark or at least a dark purple. Spent the evening with a great sunset, and lovely Veal Parmesan dinner. Vacations rock.

Goooood Friday

West Palm Beach has welcomed me with open arms. Starting from the 8am flight in seat 1A (thank you, you-know-who!). The humidity here is killer, and I'm already having sunshine overdose. Silicone and Saline is abound, and already saw my first 80 yr old creepy guy with 20 yr old girlfriend couple at lunch today. Then hung out in the pool/hot tub (life is tough). Had dinner at the Yardhouse, which is the coolest pickup joint I've seen thus far. 3-1 girls to guys, and most of the guys had no game whatsoever. Actually, most of the girls had no to little game either, so it was all a wash. I think because they don't have alot of Asians here, they think I'm a Triad. I'mma run with that for a lil while...
At least the Dukies won tonight, on to the next round of the ACC Tournament.
Looks like the city of Toronto is getting greedier and going to start collecting from bad parkers.
Looks like the Toronto Asians fought back against Councillor Rob Ford. Good for them, although I don't know if it really did any damage, or got whatn they wanted out of it.
