I Can't Wear Skinny Jeans, Cuz My Knots Don't Fit!!

Had a Fabulous dinner at Jamie and Alan's Bed and Breakfast tonight. Crabs two ways, Tiger Prawns in coconut sauce, and lettuce wraps! Dinner was A Wrap! Yumm! And a great place, with a great backyard also! If you ever need a place to stay, or a cool bed and breakfast, check them out and recommend them to out of towners! They sell out way way WAY in advance!
Jeff Staple's got love for the TDot! And he even endorses Porter Airlines! Thanks for the luv Jeff, the City Hearts Staple also! I always have a close eye on Jeff, mostly because he's a great influencer, has a wicked eye, and we share the same last name! He's my brother from another mother!!
No surprise that as retail struggles, the teens are shunning the "B" Brands! I always tried to told you, you can't fool these kids these day! Them's are smarter, yup!

Return of the Mack, You Know That I'll Be Back!

Ever notice that Wendy's burgers have gotten way smaller and their prices have gone way up? That's just too backwards.
Went to the local cookie jar spot for some pitchers and pool. Too many pitchers (or Henny's too) and they ran out of Grey Goose! Hello?? Long weekend, bring the Goose! I asked if they would mind that I bring my own bottle. I got turned down.
Big shout out to Clarice, the Portguese Gangstress!!
Shout out to my girl Winnster (or Wynn while she's in Vegas) who has one of the best Vegas stories that anyone could tell! After spending 7 whole days in Sin City, she tries to get on her flight home, but her itinerary got erased off her bberry! So she figured that it leaves at midnight the same as always, and when she shows up to the airport, she missed the flight completely! So, after a total of 10 hours sleep in 7 days, she stays one more night and tries to go standby the next morning. As she's in line for an egg salad sandwich, a 60 yr old guy in front of her gets ID'd for a drink. Then she pulls up to the clerk and he ID's her too! For an Egg Salad Sandwich! HA! Hilarious!! Welcome Home Winnster! Oh yah, her bday is this Tuesday over at Reign! Check for her up in the VIP poppin bottles!
Check out the latest YouTube comedian David Spates from LA. Hilarious!!

The Way You Walk, The Way You Talk, The Way You Say My Name and Smile...

Death toll is now at 15 for Listeria Hysteria. The meat recall has now expanded to over 50 more products. Ever get the feeling that Armageddon is upon us??
What is it with discount airlines going down without a warning? First it was Jetsgo, now Zoom Airlines is permanently grounded, declaring insolvency. The airline is blaming it on soaring oil prices, I say how do you think you could survive with $99 European flights?? I guess I should have taken my cheap trip to London and Paris while I could've!!
Yonge and Dundas marks the first Canadian intersection to be able to cross "scramble" or diagonally. I say Poppycock! Are you THAT much in a hurry to get across to Forever 21? I say it's an overt tactic to get the car traffic away from the busiest intersection in the city. Bah.
Remember I told you about wanting to meet Jeremy Fish from Upper Playground yesterday. Turns out that he's up to some interesting moves! Introducing...Barry the Beaver!!
Keep watching for this dude, he's on to something here!!
Happy B-Day to Steven T from Tenstar! Steven's been a great supporter since day one! Way to go Frenchie Michael Bolton! Hahaha! Keep on keepin' on!
Objexts of My Affliction: Estate LA bring us something very VERY unique! The WATERMELON Tearaway fitted!! I know, it's not a New Ear, but I WANT one, Need one, hafta HAVE one!! I'm not much of a car guy really, but this caught my eye... the Bugatti Veyron FBG, add on some Lambo doors and some Knight Rider ground effects, I'm there! But I'll have nowhere to stash all my sneaker boxes??
Song of the Day: You - Jesse Powell

I know it's a bit soft, but hey, it's the end of summer!!

Ahh the Circle Bar at the Hard Rock, courtesy of Bobby Hundreds. I heart Vegas during tradeshow time. Good to see night one went off without a hitch.
The timeline of the whole Listeria Hysteria. Listeria Death Toll: 12. Sandwiches I've eaten since Aug 17th: 0.
If you're still not really sure about prepared meats, here's the full list of recalled meat. Wow. Like the economy wasn't doing really horrible already?? There are going to be alot of people out there affected by this. And alot of stray meat destroyed also!
Major League Baseball is going to start using instant replay. How's that for all the traditionalists out there? Have you fallen off your rockers yet?? The whole situation only begs, how much longer before computers take the place of umpires??

Weezy For the Wordplay, Jay-Z For the Birdplay, Kanyeezy for Diversity, and Me for the Controversy...

Dammit, I miss the Ghostbar. For those that have never been, it's atop the Palms Hotel, like the ROOFTOP, just off of the Vegas strip, so calm, you get a great view of the chaos that is the Strip, and the music is Always Dope.
*Le Sigh*.
Went to the CNE tonight. The Canadian National Exhibition. The Fair. The Ex. The Money Grab at the end of the summer. Here are some highlights:
Started off the Day right, that's right. The Grey Nurses come out of the box! Actually, they were out at the bbq on Sat, so I figured...while they were already breathing...you know!

The Gates of Doom! Let's go to the Ex!

Greeted by the SUPERDOGS.

Don't get attacked by this dog, he'll take off your head!

My fave highlight of the show, the Bulldogs, Potroast and Rumproast!

The Parade of dogs, geez 30 years of Superdogs!! Wow!

Here's one dog that would look good on my brother's front lawn.

This is all actually one big quilt. More on this a bit later down.

Chicken Head in Training.

This guy was finished before anything even really started!

This was the best shirt of the whole show BY FAR. I'm trying to bootleg these in China already!

Oh yah, Che had a performance here too. I would hate to do this as a kid.

Nothing like Filipino Folk Dancing to celebrate the summer!

Some of the only remnants of the Grand Prix of Toronto.

Great view of the skyline before all the condos come and block the Tower.

The toys of '08. I couldn't find the giant Kung Fu Panda's, but the bootleg Hello Kitty's seemed popular. And Spongebob.

The Pirate Ship, I always hated that right after a bag of mini donuts!

I always wondered what if the Ferris Wheel broke off and started rolling into downtown?

Prime real estate for TFC. Smarter move for MLSE.

Heaven, I'm in Heaven. And don't mind the mezmerized girl at the bottom. She loved my kicks!

Crack Kills Part One.

Crack Kills Part Two. Anyone gotta Penny??

A bunch of balancing rocks. They had to hold me back from throwing something at these.

So here's the giant rainbow quilt in it's entirety. The other side of this sign says "Strictly No Photography". Ooops.
It was Seven Long Years ago today that the world lost Aaliyah Haughton. I will miss you forever Babygirl!! Dang, people never get the roses while they can still smell 'em.

Lose Yourself...

Fall Magic session is in. I expect updates from all you folks that made this year's trip! I heard not as many brands/retailers will be in session this year. Send updates!! Besides, the Fall magic is always WAY hotter weather-wise, I'm better off staying out of the heat for now! :)
Canadian Consumers rejoice! Or at least wait and see. Winners is launching their new concept STYLESENSE for designer and brand name labels in Canada, Sept 4th at Vaughan Mills.
More Barenaked Ladies drama, Ed Robertson survives a plane crash up north of Bancroft. I guess that's better than being in jail for coke possession.
Wow, Biggie and Lil Kim was for Real!!
Esquire Magazine brings us more insight into the magical mind of Takashi Murakami. Interesting that he names George Lucas and Walt Disney as maximalists, not a bad combination?
I'm sure the message is really heartfelt, but couldn't someone tell Michael McCain, CEO of Maple Leaf Foods that he should have practiced enough to look like he wasn't reading the telestrator word for word??

Deepest sympathies to anyone who has been afffected by Listeria and the new Hysterics.
Remember y'alls, Puffy is Poison!!

We're supposed to feel bad for this boy because he's flying coach with American Airlines? Whatta dork.

Congrats to J and V!!

Was at the J and V engagement party/bbq most of the day today. Big Shouts out to JBo, Essa, DJ P, Quiet Storm, Gee Wunder, Gates, Moots, Dru, Derrick, and there even was an appearance by Rawlo!! A great night had by all until the Mosquitoes arrived, and I got ATTACKED by a Killer Grey Goose!!! :) See you in Jamaica 09!!
The Redeem Team ends up winning Gold, defeating Spain 118-107 in the final of Olympics Basketball. I never liked the name redeem team, but what can you do, US Media loves the dramatics.
The Lions took one on the chin as they lose to the Stamps 36-29. JJ7 never got into a rhythm and ended up leaving the game early on a dislocated finger on his throwing hand. JJ& was 8 of 18, 75 yards, 0 TD's, o INT's, and another 35 yards on the ground. He had most success in the first quarter mixing up the runs, passes, and QB runs keeping the Stamps Defense on their heels. Look for a big Labor Day game in MTL against the Alouettes.
Ever check out the new Cassie video? Official Girl - ft Lil Wayne

Remember the skit about Puffy being Poison?

Good old CN Tower overlooking all the action.

Don't expect to see Shawntae Harris aka Da Brat for another three years, she'll be in jail. Then again, she hasn't done much in the LAST three years anyways!

Come and Rock Me Amadeus...

Wednesday brought a visit to my favorite gear/Sneaker tour. Of course this included a bit of retail therapy:
The Hundreds "Multi" Tee in Black.
The Hundreds "Peek A Boo" tee in Black.
Like a good friend of mine always says, "In retail, you have to keep the money recycling, keep it moving!" So I did. Thanks to the good Karma folks at LiveStock TO.
Thanks to MissInfo, Faith Evans reveals details about her "rendezvous" with Tupac back in the days. QUITE interesting indeed, but I can't help but think that with the Biggie movie coming out, she's clearing the air before the storm.
I've never heard of Listeriosis before, but damn, One dead and 16 ill? I'm sure staying away from Maple Leaf meats. Like they needed any further economic hardships than a ginormous meat recall? Ever get the feeling that Armageddon is upon us??
Hey big Jules, remember having to listen to John Tesh at 11 oclock on Thursday nights? Look at him now! And it's the NBA Theme song! WOW!
Arabian Drifting! Those who know, KNOW!!

Don't Call Me Over...

Went to check out the Canadian Equivalent of Drifting Championships today, Driftmania over at Downsview Park. For a Canadian event, with no big budget, it actually impressed me! Lots of tuners, tons of Lambo doors, a few lowriders on hydraulics, and tons of drifting. Tires squealing, people cheering, burning rubber, awesome weather, a fabulous night!! The only thing missing were some hot women! I guess there were some cuties out there, but it just reminded me that it IS Canada. Even the whole setup was fabulous for what they had to work with, except that the bathrooms were 20 miles away! Attendance was definitely way above my expectations! The funniest part of the day is people coming up to me to ask about racing stuff because I was "asian" and I guess I Looked like I knew something about Drifting! Hilarious! Those who know, KNOW!
