You're Are An Obsession, You're My Obsession...

Back to life as normal....Football Sunday!! Actually, i had to get out and finish some leftover Xmas shopping. Glad to say I'm 85% done, just a few last things to pick up and I'm officially DONE. Next the personal Xmas Shopping begins!! Yes, that's right, there actually EXISTS a Guy who gets his Xmas shopping done before the 25th. Working my life in retail, I've learned, Get what you Want and get it early, rather than having to deal with, "We're sold out", "Try this location", "Wouldn't you rather have the burgundy one?", and "Shouldn't have waited!". Just a quick run to Yonge and Dundas, and Yorkdale, and all was good with the universe again. And I STILL made it home to catch the second half of the early Football Sunday games! Beat That!

Speaking of Football, Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg in a nightclub?? BigTimeW, you're gonna have to find yourself a new favorite player! You're gonna get jabbed in the ribs on this one for the rest of his career!!

Looks like Reebok is in trouble from the Canadian Factories for trying to move their NHL Jersey production to overseas!! How much farther worse can Reebok screw up the NHL contract?? Do they not realize that Canada's game needs Made In Canada jerseys?? And what's with Vancouver's home jerseys saying "Vancouver" on the front? Do they not think the home fans KNOW what city they're from?? Argh.

If you've got a free ten minutes, read this article on Jet Li. He's The Mang!! Taking time off to start the One Foundation, helping his countrymen, and giving hope to all those people? Wow. He the Mang!

Hey YanMan, are you totally geeked out about the upcoming Star Trek movie?? Looks like another hit!!

This dude Cedric Delsaux has got a keen eye for Star Wars figures in Urban picture shots! Sweeet.

This is Hilarious!! Shaq playing Scrabble with Stuart Scott:
"How'd you get so many Q's??" "Don't worry about it!!" Hahahaha!
Shaqtastic!! 29 Points!

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got Rick Roll'd by The Cartoon Network!! HAHAHA! Lovin' It!

You Gotta Do the Cookin By The Book, You Know You Can't Be Lazy (enter Lil Jon here!):

I want to play this clip everytime I'm on a plane from now on!!

Objexts of My Affliction: I'm Absolutely LOVIN this Hundreds Collabo with the Lost Boys from Disney. If anyone is looking for early Xmas presents for Homee, I'll take a few tees, a hoodie, and whatever ELSE they come up with on this!! Cutesypoo Toys has Lil Miss Eggtart Plushes!! WHOA!! GENIUS!! I NEEDS THESE!!!

John F. Kennedy = Barack H. Obama??

One thing you also have to check out whenever you go to Dallas is the JFK Assassination site. It's pretty trippy to see, especially if you know the story of the Conspiracy Theory.

This is the Grassy Knoll. Everyone who goes there says, "It looks alot bigger on TV". It really is a tiny little hill.

Here's the plaza, the Zig Zag off of Houston Street. The building on the left is the County Jail that JFK and the entourage passed in front of before turning left.

X marks the spot, where the first bullet was thought to have hit. I believe in the Triangular formation theory that there was three shooters, Oswald in the Book building, One in the Grassy Knoll, and another on the other side of the road, by the overpass.

A view of the X from the Grassy Knoll. Looks like a clear shot to me!

Even behind the fence of the Grassy Knoll someone HAD to have noticed something strange going on there.

View of the X and the Plaza from the top of the hill. Easy shot for anyone with a scope on a rifle.

We went to the JFK museum which is the famous Sixth Floor of the Book Building where Oswald took the shot. Admission was $13.50, a bit of a ripoff, but you only live once. (Bad joke, sorry!)

"He was such a nice man". I see MANY resemblances to Mr Barack Obama here: a Radical thinker, trying to bring about Change, facing a country on the verge of many new Frontiers, some pressure from Big Businesses, different Alliances, model Family and Family man, and not afraid to make a new History for a country he is proud to call his Own.

I even wrote in the Guestbook, "America, let's NOT let history repeat itself. Let's not let this tragedy happen again. Obama in 08 is a point of change. Let's not ever forget the story behind the story." We think the record books become public knowledge in sometime like 2038?? Great, my grandkids' grandkids will FINALLY know the answer to the JFK Conspiracy theory.

If you get to Dallas, you really should go. The Audiotour is included in the admission, and the video footage is pretty cool to watch too. It says clearly No Photography and No Video, so I definitely heeded the warning. Lawd knows I don't want to get banned for pics in the JFK museum, or worse, have to deal with Dallas's Finest as an Asian Canadian dude! I cherish my Passport and my ability to cross borders!! Hard not to get caught up in the JFK hype really.

Parting is such sweet sorrow. We left Dallas around noon on the Saturday.
Shout out to Geronimo at the Omni Trevis Restaurant, keep up the jokes mang!
The weather was fabulous, no snags through security, nor customs. The Canadian Gov't finally updated the Customs forms, which actually end up saving some paper (Go Green!). If you can't read English well, I feel sorry for you, because the new form is COMPLETELY confusing.
Air Canada still sucks crap at getting luggage out to the conveyor belts in a fast/efficient amount of time.

Adikt Saved the Day

Black Friday is here! I'm too excited, because I've never really spent Black Friday in a US city. Never! Wow, sham sham sham sham sham!

We went to the Galleria Mall, which was the most upper class mall in the Dallas area. I figured that if there was going to be any deals to be had, this was the place to check out.....wrong.

This was the biggest outdoor tree with No Snow in sight that I've ever seen. So far for the last three years, the Galleria always has a big-ass tree out front of the mall.

Then there's the indoor skating rink. Quiet Storm had a thought to strap on the skates and show them that a brotha and an asian kid from Canada could skate circles around them all! That didn't happen.

The tree in the middle of the mall is just hugely nuts. There are probably more ornaments on that tree than for sale in the mall stores!

It's acutally a really cool, higher end mall. Macy's, Nordstrom's, Saks, Gucci, Prada, Louis, yadda yadda ray ray.

I couldn't quite capture the hugeness of the tree, even from ground level. It was huge though, trust me.

So after a tonne of running around, and not finding many HUGE deals, we came up with the following analysis that the Greater Dallas Area economy was not in ruin like most of the remainder of the US. The Oil money and IT industry out here was still doing pretty good, and retailers were not in overly-panic mode. This really sucked, because I wanted some Hugo Boss jackets at 70% off, Dammit. We were hugely disappointed that we couldn't find huge bargain deals, but we did come away with what we wanted, some souvenirs, some brownie points, and some hot pieces.

The electronic stores and the Walmarts/JC Penney's were doing huge discounts, but I'm not coming across the border with Walmart bags, never. Ever. Never!
Speaking of Walmart, What? A Walmart worker died today in a Black Friday trampling? Since when were people THAT eager to get into a Walmart? And for the crowd to not even stop and check if he was ok? Or get him CPR? Wow. That's one big lawsuit waiting to happen!! People drive me nuts sometimes!!

After the Black Friday disappointment, we took the drive to check out Adikt which is pretty much the only gear/sneaker spot in Dallas. It's just outside of downtown in an artsy style part of the city. The dudes that run it are asian, and are pretty cool! It's so surprising to hear that they get outdone by other cities like Austin and Houston, but they still represent for the Dallas kids nonetheless! If you ever get a chance, or are in the area, check them out. They carry Swoosh, Vans, Alife's, The Hundreds, Play Cloths, Stussy, Diamond Supply, etc, etc, a few designer skate decks, and even some Kid Robot. Whasssup Adikt Crew!

Texas Stadium, Homee Style

Normally, road trip rules state "No Evidence", but just for you alls (Y'alls), here goes:

This is the view of our hotel room. It's not much, it's Rural Dallas, Las Colinas to be exact. I like the view of the Monorail because, it's not running, and about 90 feet to the right, the tracks end. Like they just end in the middle of the field, no more track. It's like someone ran out of Lego pieces!! Hilarious.

Tailgate, Thanksgiving Day style. Put the Turkey hooked straight up to the propane tank right right up on that Tailgate! Check out Dude's ponytail too!! Yee Hawww!!

Texas Stadium, it's last year. So many historical moments, so many memories! I'm gonna miss this place! I'm just glad that a Canadian kid like me was able to see three great memorable home games here!

I told you that there were Seahawks jerseys in the crowds!! But Seneca Wallace? Ewww!

The crowd coming over the overpass was nuts. It was like a sea flow of people coming to Noah's Ark or something! Very cool to see huge crowds for anything in the US.

A few more Seahawks fans made it out.

Ahhhhh field level Gate 5! I always LOVE that feeling of going to a sporting event, walking out from the concourse to the field/court and just seeing everything unfold before your very eyes! Awesome-ness!

Hasselbeck and Romo meeting at the Star. Here is where I yelled out to Hass to show up today!! Ooops.

Stadium view of the sea flow of people Still coming over the overpass. Craziness!! That's Nuts!!

Boyes this is the view from our seats. There were a few seasons ticket holders we met, and they renewed for the new stadium already. They hated to have to pay more, but it's the Cowboys!! Ooooh, what's that big star for? Could it be special fireworks just for Thanksgiving? Are they going to light it up everytime they score a Touchdown? Stay Tuned!!

The Famous Star. Defend the Star! Mid field Star! I think they were going to cut this out and put it at the new Stadium too.

Tony Romo. What a stud.

Out come the Girls! World Famous Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!! I was saying that if we get an NFL Franchise in Toronto, I would raise a petition and a fundraiser to fly ALL the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders into TO for whenever we play against the Cowboys. Seriously!

The Big Star! What was it for? Looks way cool. When are they going to light it up?

Go Girls Go! After the game, we were waiting for a taxi back to the hotel and spotted some of the Cheerleaders leaving the game. (Sorry, no groupie pics from Homee!) Did you know that EACH one of the Cheerleaders gets their own personal security escort out to their cars after each game? That's what I call Protecting Your Investment, Jerry Jones! Good Call!

Marion the Barbarian Barber! We were all a bit disappointed that they weren't wearing their Thanksgiving Day third jerseys, which everyone in the crowd (including me) were wearing! Oh well, I'm sure there was a good reason for that, like "They were in the wash"?

Terrell Owens the infamous and in-famous!

I love watching player introductions. Nothing ever is going to beat the early 90's Chicago Bulls intro's, but this one is pretty cool nonetheless. Plus, you got the CHEERLEADERS!

Only one National Anthem to stand for. Amurrricans, gotta love 'em!

First snap of the game, Romo's got ALOT of weapons to work with, Owens, Williams, Witten, Barber, holy cow.

This is about as close a closeup of the girls from the upper deck. I'm in LUST! *sigh*

Romo in the Red Zone. If you saw any of the highlights, you probably know the result of this play.

Hi there Girls!!

Seahawks in the Red Zone. If you saw the highlights, you probably know what happened on this play also.

Ok, so remember the big star on the roof of the stadium? It wasn't for fireworks. It wasn't for Touchdown celebrations. It wasn't even for Thanksgiving. Guess who it was for? The Jonas Brothers! PUKE! Are you kidding me? Thanksgiving halftime and we got the Jonas Brothers?

PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE!

Oh, guess what? I found two totally HUGE Jonas Brother fans, and the ONLY two other Asians in the whole Stadium! What a coincidence!!!

Three of the Five Cowboys Championship Banners.

Final Score, Cowboys 34-Seahawks 9. Too bad that the Seahawks couldn't put a close game together, but that's pretty much been their year so far. The 'Hawks defense just couldn't stop the Cowboys from marching up at will. The 'Hawks offense was way out of sync, and couldn't get a successful drive into the endzone all game.

Post game meet and greet, "See you at the house for some Turkey!"

The Girls even dance in the endzones at the end of the games. Cool.

Farewell Texas Stadium! S'been some great memories for me!

Whatchu Know About Dat, Hey I Know All About Dat...

So the entire Karma day actually started out On WonTon Wednesday. I gave .17 cents to the Accordion player at Spadina Station on my way to WonTon, and he started to play the Chicken Dance. Capital M used to play accordion also (used to)! Then we show up at Pearson for our flight out, and expect Utter Chaos. Nope. Nothin! Barely any lineups, it's not that bad at all, even for Air Crap Canada! Wow. Speechless. Get thru Customs without a hitch, and we're in the lounge killing time. Weird.
Get into Dallas and see Three people wearing Seahawks jerseys, and one Seahawk Pleather Jacket! I think, "maybe I should've brought the Tatupu jersey?" and then I woke up. Nope, it's Cowboys all the way on Thurs!
Slept in, woke up after the free breakfast deadline (Dammit), but it's still game day, and Turkey Day, so it's all good.
Made it to the game on time, and hyped as heck! Cowboys ended up romping all up and down the Seahawks 34-9, and we were sloshed by the 3rd quarter. Made some new friends too (as always).
Pics to come later (Sorry!) Have to edit all the evidence!

Natalie Portman likes the sex. That goes out to my boy Jerms in VanCity!

Shout out to Aida for the heads up on Adikt!
Shout out to Yessenia at the Omni Bar!
Shout out to Jade for that Southern Hospitality!
Shout out to Jenn, Rich, Sam, Mark, Becky (yes, Becky!) from TDot and Vancity who made it out for the TGiving game from Canada too!

Ode to Nov 26th

As I sit back and reflect on my last 365,
Been burned, been spurned, and yet still alive.
Lessons were learned and truth be told,
S'been more than just another year old.

Got knocked down and questioned my fate,
Had the Passion taken, no, I gave it away.
Missed some chances at fortune and fame,
But Opportunities continue when you're good in the Game.

Now Opportunity only knocks so many times,
But you have to be able to read between the white lines.
He who has the Gold always rules,
And rules over those who would become fools.

I lost a Grandma, and found. some new friends,
Time will tell if they last til the end.
Funny how time is a commodity you can never get back,
Yet we are All guilty of letting Time slip thru the cracks.

I found my way back, up on my own two feet,
I know now who's with me, and make me complete.
"I Can See Clearly Now, The Rain I Gone",
And all that's left is Serenity and Calm.

And so cherish each day, but don't live reckloose,
And reach out, don't let yourself be a recluse.
Those who know, know Homee's got your back,
Unless you deserveth to be. layeth the Smack.

And now I'm on a jet plane towards Big D,
On a fateful day that's an anniversary.
I will continue to celebrate the ones cut loose.
By continuing the battle with my old friend Grey Goose.

So Kiss Me, and Smile For Me.....

I always thought that Lebron would be a Knick in 2010, but now they're implicating Chris Bosh into that mix?? Whoa. BColangelo has a good point, now put your money where you mouf is!

Cot Daym! I'd put a ring on it...

Did someone say Ring on it? Stay Tuned!!!

Wow. That's powerful. Contrived? Planned? I dun't think so, it's Bey after all.

Objexts of My Affliction: I've always loved the work of Kozyndan (pronounced "Kozy n Dan"), and now there's a Bunnyfish plush toy? Dam, lucky Bunnyfish!!

I Know Some Times, It's Gonna Rain.....

Condolences to Shaun Alexander who was cut by the Redskins today. Hopefully he'll be on the sidelines of the Seahawks by the time the 09 season rolls around??

So you've heard of Guitar Hero? And Rock Band? Well, I tried to told you, get ready for DJ HERO!! It's coming, I tried to told you!! Capital M and I were talking about this and how they are going to run into problems getting songs and rights released. Nevertheless, little Billy will now be able to perform his favorite Eminem songs in no time! Two turntables and a microphone... (tenks to DJ Wristpect).

I love watching cats play. Leo would get High Score at this game:

SPOILER ALERT: Every Mortal Kombat vs DC Fatality Spoiler:

If you love sports, and you're not watching Mayne Street, what have you been Doing??

"Pro Flite huh, I love your balls! Y'know you guys spell your name wrong, right? Flight? A "G" and an "H"?" HILARIOOOOOUUUUUSS!!!

I was crying in tears of laughter when I saw this:

Thanks to Nebby for the heads up!

Funniest Conversation at dinner the other night at our favorite Italian little joint:
*Beep Beep* *Flash*
Capital M: Who's taking pictures in a restaurant?
Homee: Is it someone's Bday?
M: Nope.
Homee: Is it a celebrity?
*Beep Beep* *Flash*
M: Nope. Not that I know of.
Homee: Oh, then it's a bunch of bloggers taking pics of their food.
M: What?
Homee: Bloggers. Apparently they like to take pics of their food.
M: Because that's the thing to do?
Homee: When there's not much else happening in their universe, I guess so.
M: Then what do they do with the pics?
*Beep Beep* *Flash*
Homee: I dunno. It's not like they have Smell-o-vision or Taste-o-vision yet. I guess they just post the pics and keep them for savored memories at times when they go hungry? Or when they are eating Mac and Cheese, they review the pics of Spaghetti?
M: You're a dork.
Homee: What? It's true? What am I gonna do with a pic of Spaghetti?
M: Maybe they will go home and try to recreate it?
Homee: I highly doubt that. Look at them!! Like they could cook Chef Boyardee?
M: You're right. I just don't get it then.
Homee: Ask them if they'd like to take a picture of our lovely Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar Happy Face I made!
M: You're a dork.
*Beep Beep* *Flash*
Homee: Ok, too many pics. I'm gonna ask them if they want me to take their group picture and run away with the camera.
M: Yah right.
Homee: Ok, I won't. But if they take one more picture, I'm going to have to say something.
Pause.
Pause.
Pause.
*Beep Beep* *Flash*
Homee: Are you SERIOUS?
M: That was their group photo.

Objexts of My Affliction: Why do the Japanese get ALL the cool stuff??

As You Hear It, Pump Up The Volume.....

Had a fun adventure today:

This is Grethel. She is the local Mannequin on the block. Apparently she gives the weather reports too.

"Hello Grethel, a bit nipply out today, huh?" I had to run East to West today. Got back from Magic Pony where I copped two new Reindeer Dunny's for the collection. I so Heart Magic Pony. I purposely avoided the sneaker tour on Queen/Spadina because I just KNEW I would have been out at least two new perrs of kicks. So Capital M and I hopped on the Trolley to Yonge and Queen.

We missed the grand opening of Xmas Street, so we decided to go up and check it out. This lady is there to greet you. I dunno about you, but Totally CREEPY!

Nothing says Xmas like a lady walking out of a MIRROR!! "Can you say Hello to Aslan for me?"

What a gorgeous setting! Nothing says Xmas like some new Asian China! Uhhhh yah.

And what tree is complete without your very own Xmas FROG?? No wonder why these weren't on SALE already.

Something tells me that Leo would have a Field Day with this tree. ATTACK!!!

This is especially for the Cougar or Leopard in your Sex and the City group. I know about 8 young (old) ladies that would need these this year!!

Really really creepy. The expression on his face is worse than Chucky's! Who would make little toys like this?

Even Santa has the same frozen expression!!

And she's got the SAME frozen expression! Were the dolls all looking at the same thing at the same time?

I guess I would look like this too if I was stuck at The Bay for as long as these dolls have been.

Ornament of the Year. Xmas Ninja Throwing Stars. Sweeeeeeeet.

Awwww, what a pretty Santa's Village! I would pay to see Leo wreak Carnage over this little town! That poor train would be the first thing destroyed, hands down!

Nothing says Xmas better than a field of Oscar's!!

Since when did Santa have a Price List??

Obviously we missed the big guy. I SOOOO wanted to jump the rope and pose on the chair! Capital M had to physically hold me back. *sigh*

Behold, the Barbie Empire. Scary. I hope I don't have to deal with a daughter anytime soon.

Exactly how many different Barbie concoctions can they come up with?

Neverminds. Pretty gross if you ask me.

Had to make a quick stop on the Lingerie floor and visit with my good friend Eva Mendes.

This poor Mannequin must be having a bad bad bad hair day.

It was right after this pic, some lady yells out "Move on, move on, get out of here!" Like I'm some sort of stalker pervert! Hahaha! I was laughing so loud and hard I was coughing! She started to get offended! She ran to tell a salesperson, but it was The Bay, there were NO salespeople! Hahaha!

Then the snow began to fall. Yikes.

It was starting to look really bad for traffic. Time to go home now.

Around the neighborhood, the field was already gathering lots of snow. Yikes.

I really dislike the snow, mostly because people just turn all idiotic around it.

Armed properly with the North Face, Ralphie Toque, Timbo boots, thank Gawd I don't live in a Prairie town. Time to Hibernate!!

THEN I came home to the BESTEST mail delivery yet! Big Shout out to the good folks at Chapters Indigo! Planet B-Boy on DVD!! Too Sweet! I may have to watch this about 45 times in a row!

They used to say that Sex sells magazines. Apparently, now Barack and his family do. Point proven on that lil old lady I saw buying a cover each of Time, Newsweek, People, Us, Maclean's, Ok, etc etc etc.

Twilight's premier weekend and they couldn't break $100 Mill. Too bad. $70.5 Mill tells me that there are alot in the younger generation who never ever saw "The Lost Boys", and would probably not have seen "Interview With A Vampire", "Queen of the Damned", and "Bram Stoker's..." either. For shame.

Oh no they diiiiiiiiiidn't:

Pard'n me while I clean the drool off my keyboard. AstroBoy the Movie, color me THERE! (Thanks to Tre for the link!)
