Another Head Hangs Lowly, Child Is Slowly Taken, And the Violence Caused Such Silence, Who Are We Mistaken?......

Now the REAL weekend is here! We spent the day Ooot And Aboot taking in the best of the area's delights.
The day started out with a brunch trip to Boom Breakfast Co. This is usually followed by a trip to the Cupcakery. Full and ready for a stroll, we kept going down the block further west.
It was the Corsa Italia Festival down St Clair Avenue West so we decided to give it a whirl.

Sure, just what we need, More Food!

I had a hard time figuring out what most of these folks had to do with a "Corsa Italia" Festival. This guy had Pucci, Prado, Couch, and Pendi sunglasses for sale.

This lady was not Italian, and she was abusing her child, putting him to work selling Lemonade, and she was the one drinking it all!

Because these Roasted Corn guys are EVERYWHERE that there's a festival of some sort around the city. Everywhere!

Uhhmmm, isn't it a bit too EARLY for Oktoberfest?? FAIL.

I made a request for Tito Puente, but instead we got Mambo Number Five. Awesome.

Speaking of child abuse, these kids looked absolutely clueless because they had to row the boats with their own hands! They kept trying to look for the remote control or the joysticks! It's called Manually Operated, kids!!

The kiddie rides made an appearance too! The mini pirate ship was present.

And the world famous Spinning Strawberries!?!?!??

The games people were getting a head start on the CNE. Only problem is that their prizes were totally bunk.

This dude was doing chalk art. Too bad that in a couple of days they're repaving over this street again!

We didn't find any Pasghetti and Meat Bulbs, but I finally found Meatball Sandwiches! I couldn't resist saying, "That's-a Good-a Meat-a-ball-a!!"

This dude even had some Fake Lacoste shirts for sale! WHAT?? Dude, you're bootlegging to your own culture?? Insanity.

And what festival would be complete without an accordion and some crazy old man dancing like a monkey? Gotta love the socks to the knees and sandals look! So timeless!

And because Spongebob is part Italian, he had to show up also!

Pho Rang Dong is a neighborhood favorite. I guess they were part of the Italian Festival also, but we're still trying to figure out why/how?

Then we had to run to catch some groceries. We FINALLY remembered to bring our recyclable bags, so at least we did our part to save the environment at last!

Some more festivities to come tonight, Stay Tuned!!
