Just a few reasons why I would like to start a #BoycottTelus campaign:
- I've now been without service to my phone for 60 hours.
- I purchased a brand new Blackberry at exactly the price that they requested that I pay because I still had 15/36 months left on my contract. I had to sign a new 3 year agreement for it, which makes me no different than any ordinary Joe without a previous Telus contract who gets the same phone for $230.
- The difference between the price that I paid for the Blackberry and the $230 is far less than waiting out the remaining 15 months on my contract, and sticking with an old Blackberry model.
- I still have no service on my Blackberry that I am paying 36 new months of service for 60 hours of which I'm not getting what I'm paying for.
- Everytime I call Telus customer service I have to tell my same story from the very beginning when they have every call that I've made right on file in front of them.
- With the mobile market being so competitive, you would think that they would do the utmost in making sure that their customers have uninterrupted service.
- While I was on hold, they were explaining a new feature where you can get reimbursed if you experience a dropped call. BUT, you have to call back the same number that was dropped within 60 seconds, and some other yadda yadda that I wasn't listening to. If a call is dropped, of course you are going to call back within 60 seconds, or why would you be calling that person in the first place?
- My lack of network service has kept me off of Twitter for the past 4 days.
- With no network, I'm not getting my emails, web browser, and sports scores updates.
- Cel Phone and data rate plans in Canada are amongst the highest in the world. I'm moving to Europe soon.
- I'm hoping one customer service agent googles my name and finds either this blog or my Twitter account and sees #BoycottTelus.
- Having a brand new Blackberry with no service is like buying a brand new Porsche and not putting any gas in it whatsoever.
- The sheer fact that I'm using a whole day's blog post to this should tell you how annoyed/frustrated/perplexed/concerned/and just generally pissed off I am at Telus.
Ok, rant over.
WoooooSahhhhh.
