Your Strut Makes Me Crazy Makes Me See You More Clearly, Oh Baby Now I Can See You.....

Let me let you in on a little secret. I'm a button pusher. I push buttons. That's my thing. I was the kid who touched the hot stove. Again. And Again. And Again. I was the kid who opened and closed the fridge 4,592 times to see if the light bulb stayed on when you shut it. I push buttons. Part of the reason why I push buttons so much is to find out "WHY". Remember when you were 2, or had a 2 yr old, and all they could do was ask, "WHY". I still do!
Why do people act certain ways? Why do people behave in certain situations? Why do think like you do? Why?
A lot of people are offended, even intimidate by the fact that I push buttons as I do. Some people don't like their buttons pushed. Some people don't even realize that they have buttons that just got pushed! Others still stay in denial that their buttons ever got pushed!
I guess because I'm an over-analyzer at heart, and part of my career demands that I analyze things in 45 different ways, I became good at pushing buttons to find information.
So, if/when I meet you, if I ask some 'out of left field' type of questions, it's not because I'm that off-base, it's more of a 'fact-finding' mission really. Again, best discussed over a nice cold tumbler of Grey Goose! Damn being Asian and a natural analyzer!

I haven't really had the chance lately to catch up on sharing my retail news finds, but here's a couple interesting articles that came up:
"Schmatta: Rags to Riches" gives some good insight into the rag trade that borned me and turned me into the 'clothes whore' (or even logo whore) that I am today.
According the the F.T.C., "Beginning Dec. 1, bloggers, Twitterers and many others who write online product reviews must disclose the receipt of free merchandise or payment for the items they write about." Wow. This could change and expose a lot of bloggers out there. I know for me, I cop most of what I show off on my blog. The things that I DO get for free, I do thank the senders all the time, but to actually have to call it out as 'free'... interesting! Would it cheapen the review or the product, or even the brand who sent it?
