And I Am Blessed, Everytime I Look Into My Baby's Eyes, I Think Of All The Friends Who've Touched My Life.....

So, the carryover from my resignation at work was very interesting. My coworkers were shocked and a few bawled their eyes out. My 2 bosses were not in the office at all the whole day. I had my exit interview with Human resources.
I was fully expecting to be walked out of the building because I was going to a competitor company. Heck, I even wore a tie to the office just to pull an A$$hole move!
In the end, they actually decided to keep me until Dec 23rd. What Scrooges!
This meant that I was not going to be able to go back home early for Christmas.
I am not able to make it for the Seahawks vs Bucs game in Seattle on Sunday.
I do have to do markdowns and clean up type of garbage while I'm there.
The funniest conversation we had at lunch today was that the company has lost 13 people in two years! That is definitely NOT a good average to have, especially in the world of retail!
Revolving Door much??
The outpouring of support from my vendor base and my business contacts was incredible! As soon as I clicked SEND on the email to let them know that I had resigned, the phone was ringing off the hook for 2.5 hours straight! I had to cut people short because the call waiting was ringing and ringing non stop! Thank you to those who I will be continuing to work with, and for those of you who I won't, I will still see you all at the Tradeshows and the Showrooms!
Anyways, in hopes of celebrating my potential last day, I set up a TweetUp for Pitchers, Grey Goose, and surprise Cupcakes for anyone who could make it out! Some die-hards showed up and some newbies also! Thanks to all for showing your continued support!
I will make sure that I do not fail, I cannot fail, because the support network behind me is too strong!!
Thank you all.
