If I Can't Get You Outta the Streets, Then You Don't Need To Be With Me.....

"Hey Homee, what's going on with those dig-a-hole-fill-a-hole guys?"

These dudes done tore up the whole dame road for the fourth time in three years! The whole middle of the road is just gone!

I really have to reconsider my career options. These guys have work every single month of the year!!

Ain't no recession if you're in the dig-a-hole-fill-a-hole business, that's for sure!

What did they do with the dirt they done dug up? They piled it all up on the side street of course!! What an eye sore! Those doofusses!

Congrats to the #7 ranked Dukies for their win against VaTech today in Blacksburg 72-65. Again it was Singler and G.Henderson getting it done for the BlueDevils, Singler with 21-4-3 and GH with 21-6-6. My bro tends to think that G.Henderson is going to leave for the NBA after this year, but he simply can't. He cannot. He'd be All-America player of the year next year for sure. Stop jinxing Coach K, bro! Next up for the Dukies, FSU at home on Tuesday!

Some big NFL news today. The Pats trade Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel to the Chiefs for a 2nd round pick! Whoa! I knew that with Brady back, the Pats wouldn't need Cassel, but only getting a 2nd rounder back? Whoa. I think the bigger part of the deal is Vrabel really. The Pats also signed Fred Taylor adding some punch in the backfield. Also, the Cowboys trade Anthony Henry to the Lions for Jon Kitna. Kitna will be the backup to Romo, definitely a step up from Brad Johnson!

Today I Didn't Even Have to Use My A.K., I Gotta Say It Was a Good Day.....

Today was a great day! Got to hang with the old crew and met some new crew. Chillin in the showrooms, chattin about the biz, and politicking about the fate of the world. Big shout out to Big C, Killa, 7:30. Shout out to DJ Pierre, the Gorski, and Ally. Ole School shout out to Poppa Slates, Lizzie, Krausz, and Willpower!! And new dude shout out to Justin (no cool nickname yet). We're gonna launch that killer secret sneaker idea dude, and it'll be crrrrrack!!

Turrible retail news: WalMart Canada is closing the Sam's Club division!! And what's worse, they're converting them into regular WalMarts!! What are the seniors going to do now? Oh yah, "Hello Welcome to WalMart! Be careful on those escalators!" Hahaha!

News Flash from Ottawa: The Federal Government is issuing a travel warning for people going to Mexico!! Turns out you can get caught in the middle of a drug war in some cities!! Can you go anywhere in the world that is perfectly safe anymore?? Yikes.

Hey Boyes, check these guys out!!

Ad for Uniqlo brought to you by the good folks at HMG Apparel. That reminds me, I need to get to Uniqlo soon, I'm jones'in for a wovens fix! :S

Someone Who Can Love You, Someone Who Will Need You, Someone Who Will Treat You Right, Like Me Girl.....

So the cause of yesterday's smell in the office is yet to be found, but all guesses point towards a dead mouse. Ewwwwwwwwww!! Count me out of that lunchroom cleansing!

Dear Media Gossip fake-Journalism Type Folks,
Can we have some sensitivity towards the situation and just leave this girl alone for awhile? Like can we take a Global Time Out or something? Ri-Ri fled to Mexico, but apparently that was not far enough. Sometimes I thank Gawd I'm not in the spotlight as such.

Ok, so maybe asking Tigger to come back and win his first tournament was a bit much. Tim Clark won 4 and 2 against Tigger Woods today, and played very well throughout the second round match. I guess that free's up this weekend from Sports watching now!! Good luck in two weeks Eldridge.

Interesting Article on the Pricing issue facing retail these days. I know that there's alot of you out there on the grind, and getting your favorite brand, or aspirational brand on sale is a treat, or moreso a necessity these days! I completely understand, and I'm not judging. All I have to say is, whatever your favorite brand may be these days for fashion, for style, and for quality, let that brand know what your pricing concern is. Let the bigwigs at the top know exactly what's on your mind. Find the sales reps, brand managers, merchandisers, and find the CEO's and let them know the real deal and speak with your pocketbooks/wallets! Not to say that anything will change, but at least the powers that be will hear directly from the consumer, and not the watered down version they get from the retailers. That is all, continue on with your regularly scheduled blog reading. Thank you.

My lil half brother is into Geocaching. I think if I was young enough to have this when I was around, I'd be completely pranking other people's caches! Basically, you take a GPS, and you find these kits that people all around the world have registered and hid. When you find it, you can take something from the kit, only if you leave something. It can be anything, a clothes pin, a sticker, whatever. People all over the world are doing it, and it's becoming quite a subculture for travellers. Last count was 736, 902 active caches around the world. Our last family vacation in Canmore and Banff, we found five of these things! Craziness.

I Owe You Nothing, Nothing, Nothing At All.....

Funniest conversation at work today:
Girl behind me #1: "Do you smell that? It smells like poo!"
Homee: "Hahaha! What?"
Girl #1: "I'm serious! It smells like poo!"
Girl beside me #2: "I know! It's like around the bathroom!"
Girl #1: "No, it's on the WAY to the bathroom!"
Girl #2: "I was on the way there, and I was like (makes a puking face)"
Girl #1: "Check your shoes! I hope I didn't step in anything!"
Homee: (still laughing hysterically) "I'm clean! No way it's me!"
Girl #3: "What are you talking about?"
Girl #1: "Don't you smell that?"
Girl #2: "Let's go to Starbucks, I need some fresh air!"
Girl #3: "I can't smell anything? What are you talking about?"
Homee: (laughing hysterically) "You guys have too much poop on the brain!"
Girl #1: "No really! You can't smell that? Maybe I have a really sensitive nose!"
Homee: "You can smell poop out of the bathroom from your desk? Wow! HAHAHA!"
Girl #1: "Shuttup!"
Girl #2: "Wow! That's impressive!"
And the girls left for Starbucks while Homee left early for his out of office appointment. Hooray! (For the record, nobody found out what that smell was yet!) Stay Tuned!

Retail news of the day: SAY IT ISN'T SO!! Nordstrom's is lowering their prices?!?!? Wow, ain't the Recession a b*tch!!

The #7 ranked Dukies kept it close with Maryland tonight in College Park, but came away with the win 78-67! Duke got double digits from Henderson, Singler, Scheyer, and new starting PG Elliot Williams. Gerald Henderson with a beast of a line tonight: 19-8-3 and 3 blocks! Looks like Coach K got the boys back on track to head into March on a winning streak! Next up for Duke, at VaTech on Saturday! Go Duke Go!

So far so good with Tigger Woods' comeback today at the Accenture Match Play Championship. Tigger came away with a win over Brendan Jones 3 and 2. Next up for Tigger is Tim Clark, who beat Retief Goosen today. Here's the bracket if you wanna look-see. Could be a Tigger-Vijay semifinal on Saturday! Stay Tuned!

Funny conversation number 2:
Homee: "Want to go see a movie?"
Capital M: "Sure, what's playing?"
Homee: (checks his blackberry) "Shopaholic"
Capital M: "Yah right, like you're going to see that."
Homee: "You're right, NOPE! Oh, Madea Goes to Jail."
Capital M: "Why? What did she do?"
Homee: "That's the name of the movie!"
Capital M: "Oh! Oops! Hahahaha!"
Homee: "Loser monkey."

Gotta Get On Up Now, Say It Again, Ya You Can't Sit Down....

I ended up staying at work until 7:45pm whilst my boss went to the Raptors game. Meh. I can't really say that I'm bitter, the season is really useless from here on out for those boys. But then again, win or lose, playoffs or none, there's something to be said for being at the live game. So yah, there's a 10% bitterness factor. It's not even the fact that I have poor time management, it's just that there's That much to do, and everything they do there is SO manual and time consuming. Argh. "This too shall pass...."

Yep, Tiger's Back baby!

Great news fellas! Megan Fox is Available again! Seems that she's ended her engagment to B.A.G. and now she'll have to laser off that tattoo of his name on her hip!! Doh!!

Ever travel or get stuck in a city and can't figure out where to go or what to do? GQ comes to the rescue with their online city guides!! S'been a long time coming for this. Then again, you've gotta be that "GQ" type of guy to fit in on this list!

My boy Skam did the live install of the Louis Vuitton x Sprouse exhibit. He's got a great talent, and a keen eye! Nice work boyeee!

Thanks to Stirling for the pics and the coverage!

The 2009 Academy Awards: Homee Style!!

The Oscars kicked off in HollyHood tonight. I was never impressed with HollyHood types, but I guess there's a huge enough business of people reading the gossip pages and funnelling the Paparazzi to do what they do. Meh.
Here's the recap of the red carpet, Homee Style!!

"I'm DEAD SEXY! Jai Ho!"

"Superbowl, NBA All Star Game, Oscars... stick with me baby. We're going places!"

"We PWN this town"

"Dating? We're not dating! I WISH we were dating, but we're NOT dating."

"We're sneaking in! We have nothing to do with this show, shhhhh!"

"I'm a robot. I can put my arm back on, you can't. So play safe."

"Does this dress make me look fat? The Camera adds ten pounds. How many camera's are on me?"

"Girl, we are going to get some tonight!!"

"Dress? Designer? Oh this old thing? It used to be red!"

"Black on black on black. Eat it up Madonna."

"Ooops! I forgot to remove my napkin from the dinner table!"

"Who the heck talked me into this crazy dress? Can someone help me pick up the ass of my dress??"

"Choo Choo! Train Wreck, comin through!!"

"What do you MEAN Sex and the City didn't win for best wardrobe? WTF?"

"Are you SURE I died in Star Wars?"

"I can't stay in the daylight too long! I'm going to get some color in my skin!"

"I will Destroy you all! Oops, I meant I'm honored to be here!"

"Don't mess with me either. I will crush you with my thighs!"

"Aren't I just the CUTEST lil thing? Yo quiero Taco Bell?"

"Now where did that Brad Pitt run off to?"

"Isn't it fun to play 'we can hang with the grown ups'??"

"I'm the Female version of TRAIN WRECK!! Choo Chooooo!"

Congratulations to all the Cast and Crew of Slumdog Millionaire who took home 8 out of 11 Oscars that they were nominated for! Big congrats to the little kids who made the trip on their first plane ride to the US for the award show also! Jai Ho!!

Can't Leave It, The Game Needs Him, Plus the People Need Someone To Believe In.....

Sunday Brunch, and we got to our regular breakfast/lunch spot a wee bit late this morning. There was a lineup by the time we got there, and it went right out the door. Trust me, it was out the door (this pic was taken after we left).

We've been going to this spot since they opened, and it's been getting really popular in the neighborhood. We're happy for the owners that their business has grown so large, but an hour wait to get a table has us thinking that we might need a new Sunday Brunch spot that's more under the radar? Suggestions??

March Madness is coming up quick, and luckily the Bluedevils are starting to turn things back around!! The Devils beat Wake Forest tonight 101-91 at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Despite 28 points from Jeff Teague, and 26 from James Johnson, the Devils countered with 35 from Gerald Henderson and 30 from Jon Scheyer!! Looks like Coach K's adjustment of starting freshman Elliot Williams is starting to payoff for now! I'm holding my breath for the Ides of March! GO DUKE GO!

The 2009 Toronto Auto Show wrapped up today.

Versace x Subaru? Okay, if you say so! I'm diggin the inspiration for the Crooks Medusa logo though.

Purp!! If I was back in Vancity, this would be my Rice Rocket! I'm loving the boxy lines like retro 90's.

Total Rice Rocket, there was still a bit more room for more decals on this one.

Honda's Rawk! Civic Nation unite!

"Oh Ma Gawd, aren't you that Homee guy? Like, Wow!"

"Hey Homee, come and help us sell some tee shirts! Obviously we're not doing a great job at it!"

Camo? Umm, ok? Desert storm called, they want their Rice Rocket back.
