The Dukies won against Boston College at home today. They played pretty weird, they forced tons of turnovers, were actually outrebounding BC for a stretch, they didn't hit free throws well Again, trailed at the half, and still managed to piece a great second half together by staying totally agressive. They even played the full court press to get ready for tournament time! Check the ESPN Widget on the right for the details.
Canucks nation are turning over in their seats right now. Trade rumors abound about Sundin to the Canucks for Kessler and a bunch of stuff to even out the deal. Be very afraid...
Raptors lost an easy one last night. It's games like those that makes me call them the CRaptors. The Clippers are nothing to shrug a shoulder at, but on paper, the CRaptors should have won, hands down. They have a weird knack for playing down to their level of competition. Have to stop doing that.
It would appear that not even the mighty coffee giant Starbucks are immune to the recession effects. I wouldn't necessarily consider McD's new Barista a threat though? Three things to consider: (1)Starbucks is like Blackberry, you reach a saturation point where you are already talking to as many people as you're going to talk to. (2)You could bring the price down even up to 15%, but then where does that end up capturing any more transactions when McD's is going to boast 0.89 cents? (3) Could be time to collaborate. Refer to Starbucks Clips here. If you think my recession talk is silly, read here. It's coming faster than you think!
I love hearing what other people's monickers for McDonald's are: McD's, Mickey D's, McDick's, McDork's, Ronnie Mac's, The Arches, McGross, McSupersize Me, etc etc.
New Ghostface video:
I love Kid Capri since day one, but why is he screaming so loud?? On another note, three kids got stabbed after the GZA show last night. Tsk tsk tsk, when will this city ever learn??
Diddy's doing it again:
My only questions are, with BHM and all, great timing, but would Hollywood and the nation even care if it wasn't Puffy in it? And what if it was Cuba Gooding Jr? Would you still watch then? For such a powerful film, I give Sean credit, but in the end, he'll still be dancing in videos, running around like a madman, and forever trying to find an assistant that can keep up with is butt. Feb 25th, tune in if you dare.
My Guilty Pleasure right now:
This kid is going to tear up the world soon. Triple threat, music, dance, movies, he's coming up. Usher led the way for the new generation, and now, I put my money on this guy to take the reigns. I forgot to mention, watch closely as Chris' sweater turns from purple to blue, to green, white, violet. CRAZY! That's what I call pushing the envelope! Yah! And the Hoody from The Hundreds doesn't hurt either! Yah!
Got a Wii from Best Buy yesterday. Those things are like pure crack trafficking. The Best Buy in my neighborhood got 50 of them at the beginning of the day, and sold 30 of them right off the bat at store opening. They continued to move steadily, and I got there at 1pm on a Friday, and they had 3 left. Insanity. Nintendo is pimping the game like never before.
OMA: These aren't just dope, they're DOPE-ASS! Wow, Max 95 with Houndstooth insert. Count me in for two please!
