If you like Talladega Nights, you'll LOOOVE this one! Otherwise, steer clear of the stupid-funny genre!
Also, the new AMC Theater complex, not really too ground breaking, except for the fact that I got a free underwear tee shirt at the door!

The Celtics ravaged the Cavaliers and went up 2-0, after falling asleep in the first quarter! Cleveland is going to have bring the A-game plus a few miracles to win two at home this weekend. San Antone finally showed up to the second round of the Playoffs. It took 31 each by Parker and Ginobili, but the Spurs held on to hold home court against the Hornets. CP3 put in 35 points and 9 assists, but the supporting cast just couldn't shut down the Spurs rallying offense. At least both are now series now!
Foodies alert! The ten best restaurant cities in the world, and Vancity made number 10!! I could agree with Paris, NYC, and London, but Tokyo...never been (yet!).
Congrats to my bro as Telus posts 10% increase in revenue and overall higher first quarter profit! Let's see where this bonus takes you??
The Weston family is doing something right amidst the tough times. Profits for Q1 up 26% to $131 Million. They got there by cutting costs, raising prices, and increasing their advertising presence, but times will be treacherous with the rising prices of food manufacturing in rice, flour, and other fun staples.
Not to be outdone, Walmart is announcing 25-27 new Supercentres by the end of Jan 09, opening up 6,000 new jobs for Canadians. If you used to work for GM, or Campbell's Soup, Walmart may just be a reality for you in Smalltown Canada.
Finally a Canadian retailer who's looking to renovate some stores! Canadian Tire is looking at renovating it's presence in small town and rural markets with new and improved concept stores. I still remember when it was all about windshield wipers and monkey wrenches!!
US consumers spoke and spoke loudly in April opting for bargains at Costco and Walmart. Sales at both bargain retailers rose above expectations for the month, as "regular price" no longer applies for the time being.
On the downside, Puma was down in Q1 by 7%. It's about time the skinny shoes got stonewalled! :) Should've known that they hit a brick wall when I saw Puma Streetcat's available at Costco!!

Speed Bump in the Barack Train Path
Looks like Hilary found a way to keep the drama up and stay alive to fight another day. While Hilary gets Ohio and Texas, we will see how the entire race shapes up by the time we get to August.
The Dukies beat up on Virginia by 16 and played a great game to warm up for the BIG Saturday matchup against UNC, and Regular Season Winner of the ACC.
The Raptors also played a great game, destroying the Miami Heat by 25 and limiting Shawn Marion to 5 points. The Raptors ended a 5 game losing streak and saved face while playing without Bosh. The worst part of the game for me was that there was seriously about 5,000 people at the game in Miami, and that was at the BEGINNING of the game! Just pathetic.
Retail Good news for the day, Saks reports Q4 profits are up and almost double. I guess that Boxing day sale really did them well. My uncle bought a Leather jacket from there Reg $1200 down to $300. My size too!! :)
Costco 'says' that it's Q2 is up 31% over last year. Which sort of makes sense because everyone still needs toilet paper, and bulk mayonnaise. A bit of a conflict though, because they also had to recall 16,332 pounds of contaminated chicken. I'm finding it hard to think that there's actually that amount of chicken out there. Gross.
Eva Mendes got out of Rehab!! Hooray!! Eva, give me a shout sometime, we'll go for Grey Goose's on the rocks!! Ooops.
This is one of those things that look really REALLY cool, until it happens to you!! It's a virus for Mac's that doesn't really do any criminal damage, but it's at least fun to see how many Mac-heads get frustrated with it!! Leopard can't beat that!! In a related topic, read up on Steve Jobs and how he got to where he is. Very interesting, and very entertaining!!
RIP co-Dungeon Master Gary Gygax. Dungeons and Dragons definitely opened doors for geeks all over the world. Now with Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and the rest of them, another chapter passes.

I didn't quite like the original ending, and this one is actually much worse.
OMA: New P-Rod "BO" High tops, sign me up, sign me up! I haven't told anyone this really, but I saw it about a month ago, and I want this Polo so badly that it's making me sick. Polo doesn't ship to Canada (sucks) so I can't wait to get to NY to pick it up. I hate it when clothing makes me sick. Seriously.
