Raptor Nation is getting excited as the pre-season nears closer and closer. The Raptors get to test out some new talent and old new talent with their Summer League team this year. Notables on the roster: Joey Graham (last chance Joey!), Daniel Ewing (Go Duke!), John Lucas III, Joel Bosh (Chris' younger bro), and Rod Benson (Cal). We'll see what pans out over the next two weeks.

Bravo For Solar Powered Lingerie!!
The Spurs just made the playoffs even more intense, forcing a game 7 in N'Awleans. Robo-Duncan led the way with 20-15-6, Manu had 25, and TParker had 15 to give the Spurs a victory in Game 6. Can't wait to see the Honeybees just one more time!!

The Raptors got exactly what they deserved tonight! The Raps fell to the Magic, and lost their series 4-1. Sorry, no sentimentality here, Raptor fans!! Time to step up to the Big Boy table at the NBA Playoffs. It was nice to get invited to the dinner, but now it's time to Eat!! Expect some big changes from Bryan Colangelo's office, and there's even rumors that Sam might be on the firing block also!! I'm more excited for the Raptors' off-season than the post season!! The Hawks barely held on to avoid going down against the Celtics. Now that the series is tied 2-2, the Celts will have to buckle down to get two more wins if they are serious about the number one seed! The Lakers were the only team that swept in the first round, and what a statment they made to the rest of the West. Just when you think the Lakershow has had too much Hollywood, Phil Jackson comes through on a mission for just one more Ring!!
Congrats to Byron Scott who earned NBA Coach of the Year honors for 2007-8!! I remember Byron in his Grizzlies days, and he was always an A-1 class act. We had the pleasure of sitting in front of his wife and twins for two years of our season's tickets in Vancity. Well Done Mr. Scott!
Pat Riley has retired his coaching spot, and will remain on as Pres of the Heat. I would retire too if a bunch of millionaire crybabies stopped listening and learning to a man with Seven Rings.
PVH Just keeps on acquiring and acquiring, taking over Mulberry Neckwear. See, the thing about gigantic companies like this is that the only way they can show growth is to acquire. Pretty sad when your formula is built that big, but that's the cost of doing such ginormous business I guess. Sad.
Mars Inc. is buying Wrigley for $23 Billion. What's more is that Warren Buffett is rumored to be working behind the scenes on the deal. Could the candy companies be going through a consolidation also?? I think that's part of the evolution, isn't it?

Campbell's Soup in Listowel is closing, putting 400 people out of jobs. 48 years, and finally the final drop falls. Not to be outdone, GM is laying off 1,000 people in Oshawa due to the lack of pickup truck demand. That's alot of Canadians out of work, and needing to relocate!
Canali finally opens at South Coast Plaza. If you've never been to South Coast Plaza, I highly encourage you to go. Tucked away in Costa Mesa, California, I dare you to walk into this mall and not spend a dime! More precisely, walk into the Nordstrom's there and I Dare you to not spend a dime! You just can't do it!! Argh!!
More retail good news, in Paris Men's has taken over Women's sales for the first time EVER! I so Heart Paris, and I do miss the Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, and the crazy Monoprix's all over the place!
Streetwear fans, have a good chuckle at this one! The city is trying to ban the hoodies that zip all the way up. Doesn't that mean they have to ban ski masks also? And anything that covers your face for that matter?

Another tough day in Palm Beach, went to visit a Motorsports Park, had lunch at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, soaked in the pool, and went for Sushi dinner at Ra's. Oh yah, picked up a pair of THESE today also. SWEET. Only one more day in Paradisio, and then its back to the cold cold TDot. I think I'm addicted to life in the sun and the land of the rich and silly.
Interest rates keep falling, and it's a great time to buy a new ride! 7% lower than last month! Maybe it's my calling to become more "ECO-TISTICAL" and pick up that new Hybrid.

Happy Greeney Patrick's Day!!
Had a tough day in Palm Beach today. Played a morning round of golf, just a foursome ahead of Karrie Webb. Lost about a case of balls, but still worth it. Sat in/by the pool and turned my red back into a dark or at least a dark purple. Spent the evening with a great sunset, and lovely Veal Parmesan dinner. Vacations rock.

Now, I'm an AKeys fan For Life, but c'mon now, do we really need to see yet another spinoff of Sex and the City? Why not put in some fellas in the mix? Why not do something DIFFERENT?? Do I HAVE to send them to the IDEA Store?? And the only reason why it's aired DURING The Hills is that it's not strong enough to stand on its own! Then why do it in the first place??? Grrr.

Lazy Sunny Sundays.
Relaxing day in Palm Beach. Got to sleep in, spent the afternoon in the pool, high of 30 degrees Celsius, and then went to the block party with the Rich and Silly folks. Great people, but just Silly. And rich.

Congrats to the Houston Rockets for dealing with win #22 straight over the Lake-show. That's without a great day from T-Mac, and 24 from Kobe Mamba.
Tiger looked like he was bored, and just off his game today. He still came out with a win, his 5th straight this year, and he even lost his cap while celebrating. Sometimes, those great moments in sports come up, when you see him pumping his fist after sinking a 25-foot putt to win the whole tournament.
Looks like the Comfort Zone will be shut down and renamed as something else under new management. Whoopee.
JP Morgan Chase will bail out Bear Stearns at $2 a share. Good way to see damage control handled so well!
The Chinese Gov't is dealing with spreading Tibetan riots. The Dalai Lama is stepping in to help diffuse the issues. The Chinese Gov't is also now banning YouTube from the whole country! AND, we gave this country the Summer Olympic Games why again??
